Meet Roger -
Roger was the sweet guy we took from the Mississippi shelter and moved North to foster care a few months ago.
Here is where he was living in MS.
Who knows how long he would have stayed in that pen with injured legs and no way out except rescue.
Today, Roger is happy to have a home where he is kept indoors and has a sweet foster family to take care of him and a comfy bed to lay his head on.
Roger came into the shelter with a past trauma that had healed but we needed to fully understand what was going on. He has various issues from likely being hit by a car in his past. He was seen by an orthopedic doctor this month to assess the damage to his front legs. The biggest concern is both front legs have problems. The Left leg can maybe be helped by making it stronger and possibly down the road getting a plate inserted, but for now he has to wear a splint for 2-3 weeks to see how he does.
We will keep you all posted how he does with treatment and laser therapy but we are calling on our friends for help. Currently we have over a $1,000 spent and that number will continue to climb.
Please consider helping this handsome boy
